Oyibo visits the Market

Spent a wonderful day Monday taking pictures in the market. Only way to describe this place was something you have to experience! Thousands of folks shopping for every day needs. A few Muslims didn't want their picture taken but for the most part people were smiling away. Calls of "Oyibo, Oyibo" and "my friend" echoed around every corner. Oyibo simply means white person. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oyibo These markets are not for the faint of heart especially when you find the butchers. It was my favorite time in the market. Neither are they for the claustrophobic with shoulders rubbing the rule.

Afterwards I asked Rotgak, my driver and guide to take me to Mr. Biggs http://www.mrbiggsonline.com/  LOL, I'm posting the website but it's a work of fantasy. Either that or I haven't found that one yet.  They don't show the bug lamps over the tables in their pictures. My photo album below has captions with each shot describing them

Sunday morning was spent at Living Faith Church http://www.davidabioye.org/aboutlfc.php with about ten thousand friends. They have a main building and two overflow buildings, each holding approx 3-4 thousand each. But here's the kicker, they have 3 services each Sunday! Thank goodness not everyone comes in a car, though there are a thousand there. Took us about 45 minutes to exit. Service was good but worship was a blast! Oh and of course they asked, "do we have any new people here today?" So of course I had to stand and receive a visitors packet.
You guessed it, I was the only Oyibo there.
